About Melantha

I am a woman in my late 20s coming into my own ideas about health, wellness, spirituality, and exercise.  I’ve started dabbling in traditional and real foods, Ashtanga yoga, running, and pagan spirituality, but I’m always open to hearing from people with all views that are presented respectfully.  Recently, I’ve re-committed myself to both real, traditionally-prepared foods AND regular exercise in the form of running and Ashtanga yoga.  I’m hoping to run a real-food-fueled race in the spring of 2012.

I came upon the name Melantha while looking up belly dancing names, back when I used to dance regularly.  “Melantha” appealed to me both because it’s Greek and because it means “dark flower.”  As a Classical mythology enthusiast and dark-complexioned woman, I found it fitting.
